How We Calculate Points

Our rewards program is designed to incentivize energy efficiency:

• Lower electricity usage earns customers more points.
• We aim for a fair balance, not to profit from usage (+20% non-profit rate).
• Understand that other cafes may use similar calculations.

Typical Device Power Consumption

• Electric Heaters: 1000-2000W per hour
• Smart Relays: Enable customers to charge devices at designated outlets.
• Mobile Phone: ~25W to fully charge (50000mAh battery)
• Laptop: ~50-100W to fully charge

Understanding Point Sharing

After sharing earned points with customers, the remaining portion helps us cover:

• VAT
• Carbon footprint reduction efforts (1% donation)
• Payment processing fees
• Hosting, software, operational costs
• Advertising
• General company expenses

This explains the 35% / 65% point-sharing ratio.

Electricity Costs and the IC Band

The IC Consumption Band helps categorize electricity usage for businesses. Typical businesses in this band include:

• Small to medium-sized retail stores
• Restaurants and cafes
• Small factories
• Office buildings (moderate power needs)
